P1 Community Service Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming first-year (P1) student in the SIUE School of Pharmacy in Fall 2022 who has demonstrated community service activities. Participation in community service provides an opportunity to contribute time to help others and make a difference. The SIUE School of Pharmacy would like to acknowledge the work of a student in the SOP Class of 2026 for their dedication to service performed after high school graduation and while maintaining the rigors of the Pre-Pharmacy curriculum. Criteria: 1) Student must matriculate into the SOP Class of 2026 in Fall 2022; 2) Pre-Pharmacy and/or Pre-Pharmacy Math/Science Coursework GPA => 3.0 (as calculated by the SOP from information provided in the PharmCAS application); 3) Submit a one-page resume documenting work experience and volunteer/service activities within the last 2 years (after school graduation); 4) Submit a letter of support from one of your mentors that speaks to your community service activities; 4) Essay (300 words or less): How has your community service influenced your plans for college or work in the future?
