Gertrude C. Drake Award for Excellence in Classical Languages

The Gertrude C. Drake Award for Excellence in Classical Languages is given to an SIUE student in recognition for accomplishments in the study of Latin or Greek. The award is for $100.

Award recipient will be a student exhibiting academic excellence in the study of Latin or Greek. If possible, the award should be to a Latin student one year, a Greek student the following year, etc. Discretion in the matter is left to the committee. Funds of the award will be distributed at the annual Honors Day convocation to a student best meeting the restrictions.
