Mac Hinson Woodwind Award

The annual award will provide financial support for both an undergraduate clarinet and saxophone student at SIUE. Students must be music majors, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and be enrolled in private lessons in SIUE’s Department of Music. Awards will be presented annually to 2 students who demonstrate outstanding contributions to the Department of Music ensembles and service areas. Recipients are to be chosen by the Head of the Woodwind area in consultation with the applied clarinet and saxophone teachers and ensemble directors. The decision should take into consideration both talent and financial need. Recipients are not to be repeated. The amount of the award will be no less than $250 to each student.
