Safe Zone Scholarship

Scholarship support for an SIUE Student who has demonstrated positive contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the Assistant Provost for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. Awards will be based on scholarly writings related to LGBTQIA issues or programmatic or advocacy work completed for the SIUE campus. All students are encouraged to apply. Award amounts are anticipated to be $1,000 divided evenly for Fall and Spring semester, but shall be based on funds available. If more than one recipient is selected, the award will be divided equally.
