SIUE Faculty for Collective Bargaining Scholarship

The SIUE Faculty for Collective Bargaining Organization Scholarship was established in 1999. To be eligible for consideration for the Faculty for Collective Bargaining Scholarship Award, the applicant must meet the following criteria and requirements:

  • Applicants should be either a labor union member or the son/daughter/spouse of a labor union member to qualify for this scholarship

Application is available through the SIUE Student Financial Aid office. A committee of the SIUE Staff Senate shall select recipients. Award amounts shall be based on funds available.

  2. What is the Unit/Department and employment status of the SIUE labor union member? If retired, please include the year they retired from SIUE.
  3. Are you enrolled for full-time undergraduate study for the Spring term at SIUE?
  4. If you have fewer than twelve college semester hours earned:
    • What is your composite ACT score?
    • What is/was your high school GPA on a scale of 4.0=A?
  5. If you have twelve or more college semester hours earned:
    • Have you completed at least one term as a full-time college student?
    • What is your college GPA on a scale of 4.0=A?
  6. Write an essay explaining why you believe you should receive a Faculty for Collective Bargaining Scholarship Award.
  7. Please list all co-curricular activities. Indicate any offices held.
  8. Please list all honors and/or awards you have received.
  9. Please list your work history (paid or unpaid) including the number of hours and dates worked.
  10. Please list your volunteerism history including community and/or family involvement.
  11. Please upload your most recent transcript.
  12. Please upload the completed FCB UNION VERIFICATION FORM with a current, dated signature of the employee who is a union member.
