Wenzel CPA Scholarship

Scholarship support for SIUE students majoring in Accounting. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Senior or Graduate student majoring in Accounting, completing the last semester for the 150 hour requirement
• U.S. Citizen
• Born, raised and currently residing in Missouri or Illinois
• Excellent academic standing
• Submission of an essay detailing the desire to become a CPA and describing what leadership skills qualify them to become a successful CPA

Preference will be given to those who aspire to practice with a local public accounting firm within a 50 mile radius of the Arch who have demonstrated academic excellence and the leadership skills needed to be a successful CPA. One award will be made in the Spring and Fall semester annually and shall be $2,500 for each semester

Recipients will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Business with input from the Assistant Dean in charge of Graduate Studies and the Chair of the Accounting Department. Recipient should have a life goal of pursuing their CPA license.
