William and Florence Schmidt Memorial Scholarship (Freshman Starting Fall 2024)

Scholarship support for SIUE students majoring in Business. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Entering Freshman majoring in Business
• Demonstrated financial need
• Minimum High School GPA, of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Well rounded student involved in extra-curricular activities in high school.

Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Macoupin County.

Recipients will be chosen by a selection committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Business. The committee should include, but is not limited to 2 representatives from the School of Business and one from the Office of Student Financial Aid. Candidates will be asked to submit an application form provided by the selection committee, their high school academic and extracurricular transcripts and a written statement concerning the candidate’s goals and objectives. Recipients may continue to receive the scholarship for up to 8 semesters by maintaining full-time status as a Business student and a 2.5 GPA.
