Louise W. Saunders Endowment in Support of Continuing Education

Scholarship support for individuals returning to college to pursue their bachelor’s or masters degree. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Demonstrated financial need
• Previous and/or current work experience
• Educational goals

Preference will be granted to non-traditional students returning to school to complete a bachelor’s degree, however, all individuals are encouraged to apply. All other factors being equal, the applicant who most exemplifies Louise Saunders’ belief in continuing education may receive preference.

The recipients of the awards will be chosen by a process established by a committee appointed by the Director of Student Financial Aid. Award amounts will be determined by funds available. The scholarship may be used to help cover the educational costs of attending SIUE.
