Patricia Agnes Kernan Tierney Kettman Scholarship

This scholarship is to support SIUE students in the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior’s Elementary and Secondary Education Programs. Criteria for selection is as follows:
• Incoming or current Freshman
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be pursuing a degree in Elementary or Secondary Education Program within the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior
Preference will be given to a student from East St. Louis, however, if no applicant is available from East St. Louis who meets the required criteria above, applicants from other geographical locations will be considered.

Patricia Kettman was a long-time educator, volunteer, single mother, and proud graduate of SIUE’s SEHHB. She overcame many obstacles through hard work and determination. This scholarship was created to carry on her indominable spirit and belief in passing along “Irish blessings.”
