Elmer C. Broz Award for Achievement in Journalism

An award of $250 will be given annually at an appropriate honors day convocation to a Mass Communications graduate. Recipient will be selected by a committee consisting of one member of the Department of Mass Communications, one member of the editorial staff of the Alton Telegraph and a representative of the Southern Illinois Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists-Sigma Delta Chi. Recipient will be selected from a list of nominees of the Department of Mass Communications.
