James & Aune Nelson Minority Grant

Scholarship support for minority SIUE students. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Demonstrated financial need
• Graduate of an Alton secondary school with a 2.0 GPA or above
• Minority student (Black, Hispanic, Native American)
• Must maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Recipients will be selected by the Director of Student Work and Financial Assistance. Recipients may reapply each year but will not be given preferential treatment. Awards may be used for tuition and fees or other college costs but shall not exceed the student’s total cost of education.
