Dr. Susan W. Nall Early Childhood Education Award

Scholarship support for SIUE students majoring in Early Childhood Education. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Major in Early childhood Education – (1) award to Undergraduate and (1) award to Graduate
• Must embody standards of excellence
• Must demonstrate leadership initiatives and a passion for working with young children and their families
• Must demonstrate competence in their interactions with young children and their families
• Must express through their education and experiences, a vision and commitment to the education of young children, their families and colleagues

Recipients will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Director of the Early Childhood Education Program which should include at least (2) professors who teach Early Childhood courses. Each year two awards may be given Early Childhood majors, one to an undergraduate student and one to a graduate student. If qualified candidates are not available, the award(s) should not be made in that year.
