Charles W. Chapman Memorial Scholarship - Pre Law

This scholarship provides support to an SIUE College of Arts & Sciences pre-law student. The recipient will be chosen based on consideration of the following criteria:

• Third or fourth year pre-law student currently registered and attending SIUE
• Declared major in a College of Arts & Sciences
• Grade point average of 2.5 or above
• Graduate of a high school in Madison County, St. Clair County or Bond County IL
• Demonstrated financial need

Preference will be given to students from Madison IL. An application must be submitted to the College of Arts & Sciences that includes a short summary on what the student hopes to accomplish in their law career.

The amount of the scholarship will be determined based on available funds with a minimum award of $350 annually. The scholarship will be renewable if the above criteria continue to be met and may be used for tuition or applied to educational costs.
