Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies Recognition Award
The Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies Recognition Award is given to a student declared in an interdisciplinary minor to which philosophy contributes. Principle interdisciplinary minors include: Religious Studies, Women’s Studies, and Black Studies, though consideration is not restricted to just these. The award is by nomination. Students interested in being considered for the award must have a philosophy faculty member write a nominating letter or e-mail. Nominating faculty should submit to the chair of the Department of Philosophy or chair of the Undergraduate Committee a support letter for the nominated student. Nominating faculty should address in their letter how the student has contributed to, or distinguished themselves as it concerns their studies, in pursuit of their interdisciplinary minor.
