Kathy L. Bowman Brass Musician Scholarship

The recipient should be a currently enrolled music major who is specializing in brass instruments. The recipient should also be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. The recipient will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Chair of the Department of Music. All other things being equal, the committee should award the scholarship to the applicant who most closely demonstrates Kathy Bowman’s love for and dedication to music. The scholarship should be awarded at an appropriate recognition ceremony at SIUE or within the College of Arts and Sciences. The amount of the award is determined by the available monies. While the intention is for one award annually, another award may be awarded upon the committee’s discretion and available funds. The scholarship may be used for education expenses associated with attending SIUE.
