Gertrude C. Drake Award for Excellence in Classical Languages

Scholarship support for an SIUE student in recognition for accomplishments in the study of Latin or Greek. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Student exhibiting academic excellence in the study of Latin or Greek.

If possible, the award should be to a Latin student one year, a Greek student the following year, etc. Discretion in the matter is left to the committee. The amount of the award will be $100 and shall be distributed at the annual Honors Day convocation to a student best meeting the restrictions.
