John Korak Award in Trumpet

This award provides support for an SIUE student majoring in Music. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• SIUE undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Music and enrolled in applied trumpet lessons (classical or jazz).
• Must have GPA of 2.5 or above.
  Awards will be presented annually to the student who has made meaningful contributions to the Department of Music through a combination of ensemble participation and service. The recipient will be chosen by a committee comprised of the trumpet instructors and all major instrumental ensemble Directors. The amount of the award is anticipated to be $250 annually but shall be dependent on funds available.
