Lyle Ward Balanced Man Scholarship of Sigma Phi Epsilon

Scholarship support to incoming freshmen or transfer students who are at the sophomore/junior level at the time of submission to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Incoming freshmen or transfer students at the sophomore/junior level
• GPA of 3.25 or above
• Rercord of leadership and/or service in academics, athletics, community service and any other activity deemed beneficial to the students’ communities

There is absolutely NO obligation to join Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity to be considered eligible for this award.

All applicants who are selected finalists will be required to submit an official transcript to verify academic information. All applications are due by Monday, July 14, 2025. Any applications received after this date will not be considered.

Recipients shall be selected by the undergraduate and Alumni & Volunteer Corporation Balanced Man Scholarship Chairs with final approval by the Alumni & Volunteer Corporation Executive Board, the SIUE Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, or his/her designee.
