SWICMA Local Government Scholarship Fund

Scholarship support for SIUE students pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above – if already enrolled in the SIUE MPA program must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in local government by submitting a brief narrative describing professional goals
• Must submit two letters of recommendation from employers and/or college professors, other than SIUE faculty members of the Department of Public Administration and Policy Analysis
• Demonstrated financial need

Recipients will be chosen by a committee selected by the Chair of the Department of Public Administration. Awards will be based on funds available and may be used to provide student support for tuition, fees and general educational costs.
