The Evan David Allen Scholarship
Scholarship support for outstanding Mechanical Engineering students. Criteria for selection is as follows:
- Full-time junior or senior
- Major in Mechanical Engineering
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrated financial need – to the point of not being able to attend without this award (review of other grants received should be considered in the selection process)
- Residency in one of the following counties: Alexander, Bond, Clay, Clinton, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Montgomery,. Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, St. Clair, Saline, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, or Williamson.
Recipients of this award shall be chosen by a committee assigned by the Dean of the School of Engineering which shall include a member of Student Financial Aid. The number and amount of awards will be determined by funds available but shall never be greater than 3 awards annually. If no qualified applicant can be found in a given year, the award will be carried over the the subsequent year.
