Excellence in Special Education Award in Memory of Adam Zimmer

Scholarship support for SIUE students majoring in Special Education. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Teacher candidate majoring in Special Education
• Junior or Senior status

Recipients of this award shall e chosen by a committee appointed by the Chair of Special Education and Communication Disorders. Award shall be made to the individual most closely representing Adam’s characteristics including a passion for teaching students with disabilities who possesses a positive attitude and is well respected by faculty and peers. Award amounts will be determined by the amount of funds available and may be used to help cover the educational costs of attending SIUE.
