Dr. Charles Alvin Wentz Jr. Engineering Scholarship Endowment
Scholarship support for students in the SIUE School of Engineering. Criteria for selection is as follows, with weighed selection criteria maintained as an addendum on file with the Foundation and the School of Engineering:
- Junior pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
- GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
- Must have some work experience (gained from part-time or full-time employment, internships, co-op experience or tutoring)
- Must have professional society membership and activity in their relevant student chapter at SIUE
- Must submit an essay about their career goals
Recipients will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Engineering. Award amounts are anticipated to be $1,000 but will be based on funds available.
