Dr. Vincent Masangu Shabangi Memorial Summer Undergraduate Research Assistant Endowment

Scholarship support for Undergraduate Chemistry students pursuing summer research activities while enrolled at SIUE. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry
• Good academic standing
• Demonstrated financial need
• Must submit an application to the selection committee in January prior to the award

Preference will be given to students who wish to pursue analytical chemistry research, however, other areas of research will be permitted. This fund will permit an undergraduate Chemistry student who meets the criteria above to pursue summer research activities that would enrich their educational experience.

Recipients will be selected by the Chair of the Chemistry Department along with the Chemistry Department’s Student Assessment and Standards Committee.
