Melvyn Baeske Excellence in Electrical Engineering Scholarship

Scholarship support for an incoming student to the SIUE School of Engineering who demonstrates excellence in academic achievement or for an electrical engineering student who demonstrates excellence in academic achievement. Criteria for the selection will be as follows:

*Must have graduated from a high school located within 50 miles of SIUE
*Must be enrolled fulltime and have declared electrical engineering as their intended degree program
*Must demonstrate high academic performance
– When used as a recruiting scholarship, the student will be a first year or transfer student
– When used as a retention scholarship, the student will be a first year or transfer student

*Financial need should not be considered when making the award selection, it should be given to a student who places achieving a high level of academic performance as their education priority.

The recipient(s) of this scholarship will be chosen by a committee established by the Dean of the School of Engineering. The amount of the scholarship will be determined based on available funds. The scholarship may be used for tuition or applied to educational costs.
