Dr. David Schwartz Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for SIUE students pursuing a degree within the College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients will be chosen based on the following preferred criteria:

• GPA of 3.5 or above, including incoming freshman
• Considerable demonstrated financial need
• Provide a letter of recommendation or reference from a teacher or a professor
• Show outstanding work in their chosen field

The amount of the award shall be based on funds available. Recipient(s) will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) which will comprise of a panel of CAS faculty in consultation with the Office of Student Financial Aid. The committee may elect to award all or part of the available funds to one student or to more than one student. Award recipients are eligible to be renewed for up to four years providing all criteria are met.
