The Robert L. Emig Mass Communications Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes junior and senior Mass Communications students who demonstrate outstanding academic and professional achievement, career ambition, initiative, and leadership.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled at SIUE.
• Be a junior or senior majoring in Mass Communications.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Submit a cover letter and resume.
• Submit samples of work completed as part of class or work assignments.

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

• The quality of their submitted work.
• Career ambitions.
• Initiative and leadership qualities.
• Involvement in student and professional organizations.

A recipient selected during their junior year may reapply and, if selected as the best candidate, may receive the scholarship for a second year.
