David B. Valley Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

This award recognizes a teaching assistant in the SIUE Department of Applied Communication Studies who demonstrates excellence in teaching and scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

• Be a teaching assistant within the Department of Applied Communication Studies.
• Demonstrate outstanding teaching skills.
• Demonstrate excellence in academic scholarship.

The recipient will be selected based on teaching and scholarly achievement as determined by the selection committee.
The recipient is selected by a committee appointed by the Chair of the Department of Applied Communication Studies. The amount of the award will be determined by a selection committee based on the funds available and will be presented at Honors Day or a similar event.
