Professor Lisa Colbert Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship support for SIUE students participating the Black Theatre Workshop. Criteria for selection will be as follows:

• Must be an undergraduate student participating in the Black Theatre Workshop
• Applicants must submit an essay on a topic of the current year’s Black Theatre Workshop and the importance of Black Theatre today.

Preference will be given to students majoring in Theater and Dance with the highest overall GPA who are committed to keeping Black Theatre alive. Those with racial and ethnic diversity and those that are traditionally underrepresented in the discipline of theater and dance.

The fund is anticipated to provide three $500 annually, but shall be based upon funds available. The recipient of the scholarship will be chosen by a committee appointed by the Chair of the Department of Theater and Dance in accordance with guidelines established by the Department.
