Bond Community Service Block Grant Scholarship
BCMW Community Service will be awarding five , $1,000 scholarships through the Community Services Block Grant Program. The scholarships are available to low-income residents of Bond, Clinton, Marion and Washington Counties. Residents of these counties desiring to further their education at an Illinois accredited two-year community college, vocational school, or four-year college or university may apply. The scholarships may be used for education expenses, and payment will be sent directly to the college. Income guidelines, which are based on 125% of federal poverty guidelines and number in household, are as follows: 1-$15,175; 2- $20,575; 3-$25,975; 4-$31,375; 5-$26.775; 6-$42,175; 7-$47,575 and 8-$52,975.
Eligibility criteria will be based on income, most current grade point average, a 100-200 word career goals statement, three letters of recommendation and an interview with the scholarship committee.
Applications are available at BCMW 909 E Rexford in Centralia and BCMW Outreach offices. Applications are also available on our website. Applications must be returned by 3:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018.
