Professor Lisa Colbert Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to all undergraduate students participating in the Black Theatre Workshop. Preference will be given to students majoring in Theater and Dance, those with the highest overall GPA, those committed to keeping Black Theatre alive, those with racial and ethnic diversity and those that are traditionally underrepresented in the discipline of theater and dance. Applicants must submit an essay on a topic of the current year’s Black Theatre Workshop and the importance of Black Theatre today. The amount of the award should be at least $500, but will be determined by the selection committee based on funds available.

If all other criteria are equal, the scholarship should be awarded to the applicant who most exemplifies Lisa Colbert’s life of service and her work in theater.
