Elevate East St. Louis Scholarship

This opportunity provides scholarship support for SIUE students from East St. Louis in the College or Arts & Sciences or School of Business. The scholarship is awarded in the School of Business in odd years, and in the College of Arts and Sciences in even years. Criteria for selection is as follows:

• Must be a graduate of East St. Louis High School
• Must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences or School of Business
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must provide a short answer to the question “Describe a meaningful community service project you worked on in East St. Louis and the impact the project had on the community?”
• Must submit a 500 word essay on “How will you utilize your education and your career pursuits to help improve the socioeconomic conditions in East St. Louis?”

Recipients will be expected to send the Donor a thank you letter for the gift, and to send a copy to the Dean of College of Arts & Sciences or the School of Business
