James R. Anderson Memorial Housing Scholarship

This scholarship is named for a former Associate Director of University Housing at SIUE. Jim believed not only in the value of education in and out of the classroom but valued family, community involvement and service. This scholarship is available to any qualified applicant in the amount of $1,000 per semester toward on campus housing costs for two semesters. Qualifications for applicants: Applicant must be a current SIUE student in good standing with a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average. Applicant must be an academically motivated student who has demonstrated civic leadership through community service that focuses on leadership development, whole person development and the value of family. Preference will be given to applicants who are from Chicago area, who have demonstrated a sincere pursuit of their educational goals, and have been involved in University Housing activities.
