Art & Design Scholarship

The Department of Art and Design, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, has been granted ten one-semester Art and Design Scholarships to award. Five are to be awarded to intended freshmen art majors/incoming student art majors and five are to be awarded to currently declared art majors for the 2021-2022 academic year. This scholarship is based on outstanding achievement and grade point average and covers tuition remission (no course fees). You must be registered for at least 12 credits during the semester of the scholarship.

  1. Declared or Intended Major (Art Studio, Art Education, or Art History)
  2. Award Semester (Fall 2021 or Spring 2022; You must be registered for at least 12 credits during the semester of the scholarship)
  3. CV/Resume (no more than 3 pages; pdf preferred but .docx also accepted)
  4. Please submit an essay of no more than 500 words describing your most meaningful achievements as they relate to your field of study, future goals and why you are a good candidate to receive this award. Essay should be double spaced, 12 pt. font with 1" margins (pdf preferred but .docx also accepted)
  5. Please submit art samples - 8-10 digital images in a Microsoft PowerPoint file and accompanied by an image list in pdf format (.docx also accepted) *Art Studio and Art Education majors only*
